About the Presenter

Marla Johnson attended her first AFTS annual art show in 2016, in support of new friends who had moved from the streets into permanent supportive housing at Community First! Village. Marla served on the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Stewardship team at CF!V, where she helped inspire others to discover ways to engage in innovative solutions to address chronic homelessness. Prior to AFTS, Marla served as Director of Development and Operations at Central Texas Table of Grace, where she helped create a Supervised Independent Living program for vulnerable young adults who have aged out of foster care. She received her MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship at Texas Tech University.

About the GAACC Women’s Club

The Women's Club is the GAACC's monthly member meetup where woman-identified leaders in the community come together to share a meal at one of our member restaurants while enjoying a leadership presentation or talk. The meetups usually last an hour and a half, with the first 30 minutes dedicated to networking and the next hour for the presentation. Other than these leadership lunches, we also host periodic wellness events where the focus is on women's physical and mental health. The GAACC Women's Club is led by our 2025 GAACC Women's Club Captain, Saamiya Seraj, co-founder of A Better Force
