The financial services industry is flooded with titles wealth manager, financial planner, investment broker, CPA and financial advisor leaving many confused about who does what and how they are compensated. This panel will break down the industry jargon to give attendees a clear, objective framework for evaluating, interviewing, and selecting a financial professional who aligns with your life goals.

About Our Expert Panel

Ryan Char leads Principal Strategy Groups as Regional Director and VP.

As Regional Director and Vice President, he leads Principal Strategy Groups, which are communities of financial advisors dedicated to enhancing all elements of their practices by leveraging the expertise and perspectives of their peers.Ryan is a former corps member of Teach For America, a two-year teaching and leadership development program dedicated to expanding educational equity. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Gonzaga University and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Anna Ignatenko is a CPA and Head of U.S. Operations and Finance. 

Anna Ignatenko is a CPA and the Head of U.S. Operations and Finance, supporting international dry-bulk trading group supplying cementitious materials to cement and concrete producers. She leads the company's accounting, tax, treasury, and trade compliance functions, spanning a multi-entity structure across the United States, Singapore, and Luxembourg. Anna brings more than 15 years of controllership experience across gaming, hospitality, real estate, healthcare, and technology, including full-cycle accounting, international tax, high-volume multi-state payroll, and ERP implementations. 

Rebecca Jackson is a Founder and specializes in financial planning/tax strategy. 

Rebecca Jackson, CPA/PFS, CFP®, RLP®, specializes in comprehensive financial planning and tax strategy for clients navigating complex financial situations such as equity compensation, business growth, and sudden wealth. With experience spanning wealth management, tax planning, investment strategy, and startup finance, Rebecca helps people align their money with the life they want to live. Her work has been featured in Forbes and industry publications, and she is a recipient of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Standing Ovation Award.

Fatima Naqinia delivers comprehensive wealth management solutions. 

As a Managing Associate and Financial Advisor she helps professional women, founders, and families navigate wealth management, risk management, estate planning, and investment strategy. Known for her relationship-driven and human-centered approach, Fatima brings a strong focus on clarity, resilience, and intentional planning. She is currently completing her Master’s in Wealth Management at Columbia University and is actively engaged in Austin’s women-led, technology, and small business communities.

Shannon Wood specializes in guiding clients through life events. 

Shannon Wood has more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate major financial transitions, including divorce, business sales, retirement, and career changes. She specializes in comprehensive wealth management for multi-generational families, bringing a personalized approach that simplifies complex decisions and builds long-term financial confidence. A Texas A&M graduate with a background in engineering, business, and investing, Shannon has been recognized by Forbes as a Top Women Wealth Advisor and Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2025 and 2026.

About the GAACC Foundation Women's Financial Education Program 

The GAACC Foundation Financial Education for Women Program workshops will be 90-minute in-person, hands-on skill building classes. All of the "Foundational Classes" will be free to the community with "Specialized Classes" coming soon for those who are ready to take the next step.
